MAC’s new Holiday line goes smoky and bold

I, like the rest of the world, was shamelessly enthralled with The Dark Night. While Heath Ledger’s Joker was meant to have a haunting and disturbing appearance, I couldn’t help thinking that with a few swipes here and there, it would be the perfect smoky eye and bold lip for fall.

Cue MAC who has a new holiday collection, Red She Said. The collection features eyeshadows and lip color perfect for creating that bold red lip and intense eye that’s all vintage glamour and a little undone—not the least bit Joker à la Jack. Eyeshadow palettes have also upgraded from a single shade to two complementary shades separated by a “zipper” of either metallic gold or silver shadow to draw even more attention to those peepers. Finish the look off with the reintroduction of MAC’s limited-release Dazzleglass lipgloss for a fun and sultry look that will carry you right through the fall and seamlessly into winter.
In other MAC news, the makeup giant will be reporting on Twitter from backstage at the shows in New York, London, Milan and Paris—it’s like logging into Facebook and seeing your “friends” update their status…. only this time it’ll actually be interesting and worth reading. So expect to find out the hottest looks for spring before they hit the runway and maybe even some model gossip will Twitter its way onto the ‘net.
